Ryan and Dave spend a ton of time arguing about the proposed Point Break remake and something called Infernal Devices?!?!  Then they get the F to some good stories including a shiny new prequel, James Wan’s new project, and most importantly-news on a possible new Anna Kendrick flick.

Dave bids farewell to Jonathan Winters by telling everyone how unfunny Jonathan Winters is.  At least that’s what 5th grade Dave thinks.

For those of you keeping score at home, Dave kept score in the MTV Movie Awards pick ’em.  All the winners and analysis you’d expect of the MTV Movie Awards awaits you as well as trailers for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Hangover III, The Kings of Summer, Filth, Campus Life, No One Lives, Romeo & Juliet, Java Heat, Elysium and The Way, Way Back.

Stop the presses, this movie podcast is going to discuss a movie.  A good movie this time around.  For those of you that stuck with us through the GI Joe episode, thanks and now we reward you by digging through a good movie-Jurassic Park.  Or as Dave calls it “That dinosaur movie with Ariana Richards”.

We hope you enjoy the new two episode format! If you missed the news episode from this week, it’s the episode right before this one. Tune in next week for news and trailers early in the week and our summer preview complete with an overly complicated Movies on Up pick ’em game later in the week!

This week, Ryan and Dave talk news involving Brad Pitt, the artistic integrity of the Fast and the Furious Franchise, a bunch of awesome casts, Bradley Cooper, Crimson Peak, Guardians Of The Galaxy, Jennifer Garner, and a terrible horror remake.

There’s also tons of trailers, including second looks at The Conjuring, This Is The End, The Great Gatsby, and City Of Bones, and first looks at Grown Ups 2, Carrie, Rush, Only God Forgives, The Purge, and more!

And of course they say goodbye to the one and only Roger Ebert.

Check back in a couple of days for this week’s discussion episode on Jurassic Park!

MTV Movie Awards Pick Em!

It’s almost time for Summer Blockbuster Season, but before we get there we need to put an end to Awards Season. And that’s what MTV will do next Sunday April 14th with their whateverth annual MTV Movie Awards. Since it involves movies and awards, and because we love wasting our time on stupid stuff like this, obviously we’re doing a pick em to celebrate the event.

Check out the categories below and let us know if you agree or disagree with us. Hit us up at MoviesOnUP@gmail.com with your picks and play along with us!
