There’s quite a few Bill Nighy movies on the horizon, this week he co-stars with pod-fave Anya Taylor-Joy in Emma.  This week we run down our five faves from a guy who’s been in a couple Movies on Up all-timers.

Note a Good Movie

Discussion Episode:  The Notebook

Happy Valentine’s Day.  This week, we’ve got an episode years in the making.  James Marsden zooms onto the screen with Ben Schwartz in Sonic.  Marsden plus Valentine’s Day, seemed like a good time to finally crack open The Notebook.  Maybe we should have left it closed.

The Birds of Birds of Prey

Discussion Episode:  Favorite Movies from the Cast of Birds of Prey

Margot Robbie is back as Harley Quinn in this weekend’s Birds of Prey.  While we’d love to do a Margot Robbie list, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead for that matter, those lists would feature a lot of crossover.  Instead, we’re opening up the list to the entire flock, Rosie Perez, et all.

Take This Job and Shove It

Discussion Episode:  Favorite Shady Workplace Movies

Kitty Green’s The Assistant hits theaters this week, very appropriately as Harvey Weinstein trial continues to make headlines.  Julia Garner plays the titular Assistant who takes a job and soon realizes there’s more to the position than she had bargained for.  This got Dave to thinking about a list of movies where the job or boss wasn’t all they were cracked up to be.  It’s a tough subject for a list, but I think they came out great.  Listen up!

Top 20 from the Last 10 Part 1

Favorites of 2010-2019

We like stupid lists around here, and it seems you can’t go anywhere on the internet without seeing someone’s top movies on the last decade.  Since we do lists about movies, we thought we’d throw our hats into the ring with our official Movies on Up top 20 for the decade that ended with the start of 2020.
